Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a heated skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix in black beans, corn, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until heated through.
  4. Combine shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses in a mixing bowl, reserving half for later use.
  5. Transfer the beef mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer the cheese mixture over the top.
  6. Top with an even layer of tater tots.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle reserved cheese on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired before serving.
