Preparation Steps
- Wash and chop fresh broccoli into small florets and blanch them for 2 minutes. Drain and cool.
- In a large bowl, mix blanched broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and egg/flax egg until fully combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes and lightly grease the basket.
- Place the poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10-12 minutes, checking halfway for doneness.
- Let the poppers cool for a few minutes before serving with your chosen dip.
