Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk Adds moisture and tang.

For Frying

For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Creamy base for the sauce.

  • 3 tsp Sriracha Hot Sauce Adjust to your spice preference.
For the Tacos
  • 8 to 12 Small White Corn Tortillas Warm them up for perfect taco base.
  • 3 cups Cabbage Thinly sliced for crunch.
  • 1 medium Tomato Diced for juiciness.
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Coarsely chopped for garnish.

Method
 

Sauce Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
Shrimp Marination
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together buttermilk, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Add shrimp and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Shrimp Breading
  1. Remove shrimp from marinade, dredge in corn starch, and place on a platter.
Shrimp Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep pot to 375°F. Fry shrimp in batches for 2.5 to 3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Coating with Sauce
  1. Toss hot cooked shrimp with half of the sauce. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
Taco Assembly
  1. Warm tortillas. Layer each with cabbage, tomato, crispy shrimp, and drizzle with remaining sauce. Garnish with cilantro.
