  2. Once cooled, cut the cake into pieces, scoop out small portions, and roll them into smooth balls.
  3. Mix sugar and cinnamon to create the coating, optionally adding nutmeg or cardamom.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the cake balls until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side, using a slotted spoon to turn them.
