- Generously season the beef chuck roast with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Layer the sliced onion evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Carefully place the seasoned chuck roast on top of the onions.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, brown gravy mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Remove the beef and optionally thicken the gravy with a cornstarch slurry.
- Shred the beef and return it to the gravy in the slow cooker.
