Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  5. Spread the beef and onion mixture over the potatoes, followed by another layer of the remaining potato slices.
  6. Whisk together the milk and melted butter, then pour it evenly over the layers.
  7. Sprinkle cheese generously on top.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden.
