Equipment

  • Large skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the chicken thighs or breasts dry with paper towels. Sprinkle both sides generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Let the seasoned chicken rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned chicken in the pan. Cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken stock and honey, scraping the bottom of the pan.
  4. Return the seared chicken back to the skillet, nestling it into the sauce. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes. Check internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle with parsley and caramelized onions if using. Serve hot.
