Preparation Steps
  1. Peel and cut sweet potatoes into large cubes. Boil in salted water for 10-15 minutes until fork-tender, then drain and cool.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla. Cook for 3-5 minutes until syrupy.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish, arrange cooked sweet potatoes, and pour the warm glaze over them.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  5. Remove foil and sprinkle marshmallows evenly on top. Bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes until toasted.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.
