Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sauté the Vegetables: In a sturdy skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms, cooking for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Then mix in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Create the Creamy Base: Lower heat and introduce softened cream cheese and sour cream into the skillet. Stir continuously until melted together, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the Cheeses: Stir in half of the shredded mozzarella and all of the grated Parmesan. Continue stirring until melted and creamy, about another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Top and Bake: Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
