Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Mouthwatering Tahini Kofta
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped mint, and your choice of spices. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined and sticky.
  2. Wet your hands slightly and shape the mixture into elongated meatballs or patties, about 2-3 inches long. Yield around 12-15 pieces.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the potatoes into thin rounds and layer them in a baking dish. Nestle the kofta on top, leaving space in between. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Bake for about 30 minutes until kofta are golden brown and potatoes are tender.
  5. Prepare the tahini sauce by blending tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, and enough water to reach desired consistency until smooth and creamy.
  6. Drizzle tahini sauce over the kofta and potatoes and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes. Serve with extra tahini sauce and enjoy.
