Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Mouthwatering Tahini Kofta
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped mint, and your choice of spices. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined and sticky.
- Wet your hands slightly and shape the mixture into elongated meatballs or patties, about 2-3 inches long. Yield around 12-15 pieces.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the potatoes into thin rounds and layer them in a baking dish. Nestle the kofta on top, leaving space in between. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for about 30 minutes until kofta are golden brown and potatoes are tender.
- Prepare the tahini sauce by blending tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, and enough water to reach desired consistency until smooth and creamy.
- Drizzle tahini sauce over the kofta and potatoes and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes. Serve with extra tahini sauce and enjoy.
