- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves, and sauté for about 3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and soft.
- Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart while it cooks. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of cumin and 1 teaspoon of paprika, season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the beef is well-browned.
- Warm your pita bread in the microwave for 15-30 seconds or heat in a dry skillet until pliable. Keep the pitas covered with a kitchen towel.
- Slice each pita open to create a pocket. Stuff generously with the cooked ground beef mixture, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cucumber. Add crumbled feta cheese and a dollop of tzatziki sauce.
- Serve immediately with extra tzatziki on the side for dipping.
