  • 8 ounces Lump Crab Meat fresh or canned
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese substitute with Monterey Jack or Gruyère if desired
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt is a lighter alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard honey mustard can be used as an alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder fresh minced garlic can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning or other seafood blends
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Biscuit Base
  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuit Dough or homemade biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley chopped, or substitute with other herbs

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the package of refrigerated biscuit dough and place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, lump crab, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and slightly chunky.
  4. Take a spoonful of the seafood filling and place it in the center of each biscuit.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
  7. Let the melts cool for a few moments before serving warm.
