Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together one large egg and a splash of milk to create an egg wash.
  3. In a medium bowl, blend 4 oz of cream cheese, 3 tbsp of granulated sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1 tbsp of lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Slice 1 cup of fresh strawberries and toss them with a sprinkle of sugar.
  5. On a floured surface, unfold and roll out your thawed puff pastry. Cut it into 8 equal rectangles.
  6. Lightly score a border around each rectangle and brush the edges with the egg wash.
  7. Spoon the cream cheese filling into the center of each pastry rectangle, and top with sliced strawberries.
  8. Bake the filled danishes for 15-18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
